Congrats on the Daily 2nd Place Award!

Great job Ryan! Congrats on the Daily 2nd Place award (TK and I knew you'd make the daily top 5!). I dunno how I missed this when you posted it last month but I just searched for it to see it you had posted yet on Newgrounds. Is ep 2 coming soon? (I saw that you posted ep 2 on the forum but it was deleted before I could watch it)

"Now there goes a real man..."

Great job Andrew! Congrats on the Daily 5th Place award (Tom and I knew you'd make the daily top 5!). Now you HAVE to continue the series...

Cute animation, but NOT original idea

This idea of the "buttered cat paradox" has already been animated before. In fact, Kimberly Miner won a Student Academy Award for her animated film "Perpetual Motion" in 2003.

Still, this was a decent animation.

Very cool! It reminded me of Mark Osborne's "More"

Great job Drew! This was a fantastic film.

Have you seen the oscar-nominated short film called "More" by Mark Osborne?

It's probably just coincidence but your film shares a lot of similar design elements with "More", especially the little door in the body and the colors vs B&W. I highly recommend that you check it out if you haven't already seen it because it's one of the reasons I decided to become an animator.

Anyway, congrats on the film!

I have that TMBG shirt!

Decent animation, good timing, just a bit abrupt at the end but pretty funny stuff. Good job!

surprise is exactly like Adams Philips' "Taken"

this reminds me of "Taken" by Adam Philips

The-Yokai responds:

It's true, I got a lot of inspiration from "Taken".

Hmm, reminds me of my Self-Portrait

I really dig your art, but this is very similar to my Self-Portrait (also posted here on NewGrounds), which has the exact same elements:

Artist + Gun + Canvas = Art?

Funny stuff but it reminds me of another animation

This was great, but it totally reminded me a very similar Flash animation that non-verbally tells the story of a man's life through snippets of his daily routine, specifically getting up in the morning, breakfast, bathroom, driving to work, work, driving home, dinner, sleeping, repeat until suicide.

The other film is called "Life Goes On" by Shaun Moriarty and it can be seen on his website, reboiled dot com, under the "things / animation" section.

While "Life Goes On" is very similar, "Jerry" has greater character development and your character animation is brilliant.

You should seriously check out the other film too if you haven't, though I wouldn't be surprised if it was the inspiration for your film.

Good job!

Stunning

This is a beautiful piece. It's starts realistic and becomes very abstract. Good choice of music too.

Great job.

Funny sh-, er, stuff

That is some subversively funny stuff

boinky33 responds:

It sure is.

I'm an incurable insomniaddict, an insufferable iconoclast and a no-nonsense Nihilist. Looking back at that last sentence it appears I'm also addicted to alliteration. I'm extremely allergic to religions, political parties, and traditions.
